BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOM
Reserve your room through Connections Housing for the TechLearn 2026 room block and special rates. Rooms are available while supplies last. 

App: TechLearn 2026
A Conference app will be available approximately two weeks prior to the TechLearn Conference.  All registered participants will be notified when the Training Magazine Events app is live. If you've attended a prior conference, you may need to reload the app. For areas requiring login, attendees will use their registration email and password reset. Please allow up to 5 minutes for the password link from @goeshow.com (and check your bulk mail). If you have problems, please email customer service with your name and registration email.


ATD Certification Institute: CPTD and APTD Credits
Training Magazine Certificates and Conferences have been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute to offer educational programs that can be used towards initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials. To view the number of points per course, visit the Certificate Program with course listings. Attendee Service Center
Log into the Attendee Service Center print out a confirmation, invoice or add a pre-conference event. If you need to change your registration, the person attending, or cancel, please contact Customer Service at 1.847.620.4483 ext. 2 or by email: Customer Service


Badges
Badges must be worn at all times while attending the TechLearn Conference and pre-conference events at the conference venue. The badges must be visible for room monitors who are checking badges at the session room doors. Badges will not be mailed in advance, you will pick these up in-person at the registration desk. Details about the event and badge pickup will be emailed 1 to 2 weeks prior to the start of TechLearn. 

Note: A "pre-conference only" registration does not include access to the TechLearn Conference on September 16-17. Any individual with a "pre-conference only" badge found attending the TechLearn Conference will be asked to visit the TechLearn registration desk to pay the additional fee for the TechLearn Conference or turn in their badge.


Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your TechLearn or pre-conference event registration, please email Customer Service (with TechLearn in the subject line). Cancellations, changes, and transfers must be in writing. 

You may transfer your registration to another person from your organization at any time prior to receiving a badge onsite. If you are not able to make a substitution:

  • Cancellations received on or before August 21, 2026, are eligible for a refund less the $100 cancellation fee. Your refund will be made within 30 days.
  • Cancellations* received after August 21, 2026 are non-refundable. However, you may make a substitution or request a letter of credit to apply to a future  TechLearn or Training Conference. This letter of credit will be sent by email within 30 days and valid for one year (for you or your organization). * This includes cancellations due to weather, travel delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Note: Cancellation of your conference registration does NOT cancel housing reservations made through our partner, Connections Housing. For housing cancellations, visit our Hotel page for the contact information on cancelling your hotel reservation.


Certificate of Completion (Letter of Attendance)
Attendees of Certificate Programs or GamiCon, who successfully complete the course, will receive a digital certificate of completion from Training magazine and an eBadge. Attendees will receive them within 1-2 weeks after the completion of the course and will be sent from admin@credly.com. Learn more at: Digital Certificate of Completion and eBadge

Note: TechLearn Conference attendees do not receive a certificate of completion. However, a letter of attendance of attendance is available by request. Please contact customer service.


Children Policy
To preserve a professional learning environment for all participants and for safety reasons, children are not permitted at the TechLearn Conference or pre-conference events (this includes sessions, keynotes, lunches, kickoffs, and receptions). Only registered attendees with badges with be admitted into TechLearn events.


Code of Conduct
At all Training Magazine Conferences, the goal of Training is to provide a safe and positive experience and Training expects attendees, exhibitors/sponsors, speakers, vendors, and volunteers to follow this Code of Conduct. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at any time and may result in immediate removal from the event. Expected behavior: Be considerate of those with whom you may interact; be collaborative with others; be respectful of others’ viewpoints that may differ from your own; and be mindful of your words and actions.


Discounts
Discounts are available on the TechLearn Conference for registrants from government/military, academic institutions, charitable non-profit organizations, and groups of three or more. One discount offer/code per registrant; discount offers may not be combined and are only valid on the Conference. Discounts must be entered prior to final payment Discount codes will not be honored or refunded retroactively.

Please note, we do NOT have volunteer opportunities at the TechLearn Conference.


Dress Code
Comfortable, business casual attire is recommended. We recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket as room temperatures may vary in the session rooms at the conference center.


Email Lists: Manage Preferences and Unsubscribe
All registered TechLearn Conference participants will be automatically subscribed to Training magazine’s email lists that come from TrainingMag.com. You may manage your email preferences or unsubscribe at any time via links in the footer of each email. If you need assistance, please email us with the email address that the blasts are going to and your full name. 


Group Registrations
Groups may register online. You will be prompted “to add additional attendee” on the Review page. In order to get a group discount on the Conference, all attendees must be from the same company/organization. You must enter and apply the discount code for each person. Discounts are available starting at Groups of 3 or more, visit Registration Fees & Discounts


International Attendees and Visas
If you are a non-USA attendee who needs a visa to attend the TechLearn Conference, we recommend that you work with your company/organization using your conference registration and hotel confirmation. The US Department of State has a Visa Wizard that will provide you with the information you need regarding business travel visas.  If your business travel visa is denied or delayed where you are not able to make it to the USA, we will cancel and refund your registration. 


Invoices
You may register online and select "Balance Due" for payment method; an invoice will be automatically sent by e-mail in the confirmation (as an embedded PDF). Payment is due in full prior to the start of the event. Badges will not be issued if payment has not been received. 

A group invoice/receipt will be included in the confirmation if all team members were registered by one person. If your team registered separately, contact customer service about a group invoice.


ISPI:  CPT Points
Training Magazine Events are pre-approved by the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI). You can earn up to 12 CPT points to re-certify as a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) with any Training magazine Conference or Certificate Program. Full information on CPT certification can be found at ISPI.


Lunch/Meals
Lunch is included each full day of the Conference (September 16-17) and for Pre-Conference attendees (September 14-15 for two-day Certificate Programs and GamiCon AND September 15 for one-day Certificates and Learning Leaders Summit).

There will be snack and refreshment breaks during the day in Austin, as well as some evening events as noted in the Agenda online. For other dining options, please visit Travel and Dining and Explore Austin.


Mother's Room (Nursing Room)
There will be a Mother's room (nursing room) available at the conference venue. Please inquire at the TechLearn Registration desk for the location and access.


Photographers at TechLearn
By attending the TechLearn and its events, you acknowledge that your image may be captured on video or in photos taken on behalf of the TechLearn Conference. You further provide the TechLearn Conference the right to use candid group photos or videos without securing additional permission in their promotional efforts including emails, social media, the conference website, slideshows, etc.


Registration and Payment
Online registration is open through the event. We recommending registering prior to arriving onsite to expedite check-in. Payment is due prior to receiving a badge onsite. Please visit our How to Register for details on how-to register and payment methods.


Session Recordings
Sessions are not recorded. Registered attendees will be able to download presentations and handouts for breakout sessions and hands-on-clinics (if supplied to show management by the speaker).


Session Registration
There is no pre-registration for breakout sessions or hands-on clinic at the TechLearn Conference. Seating for breakout sessions and hands-on clinics is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and may be limited due to room size.

Pre-registration and additional fees are required for all pre-conference events and optional Austin Experiences.


Special Services/Assistance
If you require special services/assistance at TechLearn Conference, please answer the questions on the registration form or email Conference Management.

To allow Show Management time to accommodate your special needs, please submit your request by Friday, August 21.

  • Access to Sessions (e.g. mobility issue such as needing to rent a wheelchair, hearing-impairment).
  • Special Meal Need (due to dietary restrictions/allergies). If you restriction is not listed, please email customer service.

Speakers
TechLearn Speakers were selected in April 2026. If you are a current TechLearn speaker and have questions about speaking, please contact Susan.

If you would like to be considered as a speaker for a future event, please join our Event Mailing list to be notified when our call for speakers opens.


Transferring Your Attendee Registration (Substitutions)
Please email Customer Service to transfer an attendee registration to another person. You may also make a substitution at the Registration desk onsite.


Volunteers
We do not use volunteers at the TechLearn Conference. Please inquire for discounts.


W-9 Form (Tax ID)
TechLearn Conference is owned by Lakewood Media Group, LLC, a Veteran-owned business. After you have registered for the Conference, please email to request at W9.
